This course is intended for experienced and qualified drone pilots who are looking to extend their skills to include using a drone in incident and forensics imaging. It provides an overview of the potential applications of drones, comparisons of techniques and practical exercises.

Critically this course covers how to manage and illustrate the accuracy of 3d models and maps derived from drone imagery to assist in using them as evidence. For this course, we use PIX4D as the modelling and mapping application.
There is a significant potential benefit in terms of operating efficiency and speed using 3d modelling tools and drones in this environment.
Upon completion of this course students will be able to understand the strengths and weaknesses different techniques and complete drone based imaging missions with confidence.

This course has a significant outdoor component. Please ensure that you have clothing appropriate to the conditions.
