BVLoS is now the hottest topic in the commercial drone industry. At the same time the challenges are numerous and there is a step change in knowledge, skills and systems to achieve permissions. COPTRZ has teamed with the International School of Unmanned & Remotely Piloted Aviation to produce a World first “Beyond Visual Line of Sight – A Professional Insight’.

The course is designed by unmanned aviation industry professionals with thousands of hours of manned aviation and drone flying experience.  Delivered by a highly qualified instructor with extensive training design and BVLoS experience who has trained students from high profile organisations such as Boeing, NASA, Transport Canada and QinetiQ. The course will teach you the vital knowledge required to safely organise and conduct BVLoS flying operations.

The training is classroom based, so it is applicable to all professional models of drones used in BVLoS flying and it will teach the vital areas of consideration when making an application to regulatory authorities and then when actually carrying out the BVLoS flying.

The Martek group has recently just won two framework contracts with the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) for RPAS Maritime Surveillance covering marine air pollution, SAR, fishery protection, migrant monitoring and anti-narcotics operations.

Course Goals

This course will provide students with:

•The necessary knowledge to recognise the unique aspects of remotely piloted BVLoS unmanned aircraft operations.
•The awareness and knowledge to conduct and manage RPAS operations safely.
•An awareness of the issues associated with counter drone actions.

The training is built on over a decade of BVLoS flying experience and over 30 years of military & civil flying experience. ISURPA staff have developed a unique course which teaches the differences from manned aviation and provides the essential knowledge required to effectively plan and manage such operations in both urban and rural areas in all classes of airspace and air traffic environments.
