COPTRZ, the commercial drone experts, have agreed a strategic partnership with Norwegian manufacturer GRIFF Aviation to become the sole distributor of their fleet of heavy-lift commercial drones in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Unlike any other drone on the market, the ‘GRIFF’ can lift up to 150kg and has been specifically designed for heavy lifting missions including search and rescue, cargo delivery, man overboard rescues and military supply. The strategic partnership is set to further strengthen COPTRZ position as the leading commercial drone strategy partner in the UK.

Steve Coulson, Founder and Managing Director of COPTRZ, explains his delight at securing another best in the world solution for COPTRZ customers:

“At COPTRZ, it’s our aim to provide the best products in the world to our customers, so we are extremely proud to announce this strategic partnership with GRIFF Aviation, a business that is leading the way in manufacturing commercial drones.

Until now, the use of drones in a commercial sense has been limited by the lack of lifting capacity available from models currently on the market. With the ability to lift 150kg, the GRIFF has opened up a whole host of opportunities for commercial drones and we will now see them being used in missions that were previously not possible. The GRIFF is a tremendous drone and I have seen first-hand what is it capable of achieving. No other drone available at this time is comparable in terms of quality, performance or mission flexibility.

This enterprise level partnership makes complete sense for both businesses and I look forward to working alongside GRIFF Aviation in offering bespoke drone strategies to our customers.”
